Is MyWorldPlus Dead? You don't hear much about the MyWorldPlus program any more these days. At least, I haven't! My email Inbox has been curiously devoid of invitations, and chatter on the "Work From Home" forums has dropped off dramatically from the hey-day of January & February of 2007.Of course, the question in the title is purely rhetorical! MyWorldPlus continues to exist - you just don't hear about it much any more. The hype has died, and what remains is a solid business model that continues to grow, improve and satisfy. I signed up just before Launch last year, and continue to use the discounts, coupons, and other money-saving. Many people I know that joined around the same time have long since moved on to the next "flashy" opportunity. Many were in just for the "make money from signing somebody else up" slant, and didn't understand that they were purchasing a real product. A product with value. Let me explain: Your membership fee allows MyWorldPlus to negotiate special discounts for its members. Many of the 'deals' you find are exclusive. The value of the product (in this case, membership in MyWorldPlus) is the money you can save in your regular, day-to-day purchases. That value can range from $15-$20 per month (if you only pick the easy offers just once or twice a month) to $100 or more monthly, if you are thorough in your shopping and take advantage of all that the membership has to offer. Thus, your net 'investment' in the club is positive, since your return is greater than your expenses. Here's an example from my shopping last week: I used a Buy One, Get One Free coupon at Little Caesar's (I've never seen this discount anywhere else! - a $5.00 value) for the teenagers, went grocery shopping and saved $7.45 in coupons printed from my PC, got the oil changed in my car ($16.99 versus the normal $29.95, for a savings of $13.00), and saved $3.98 on lunch out with my wife. That's a savings of over $29, just for last week. Now, not every week is like that. Many weeks we save less, some weeks we do major shopping and save a LOT. If I had to state an average, it would probably be in the $50 per month range. Since the monthly membership cost is $19.95, we end up saving close to $400 per year. That's a car payment! And that's not including the potential to actually generate income from the referral program. For many, this has become a very lucrative prospect! |
